Meet Dr. Balytsky
Dr. Balytsky earned his Dental Degree (DMD) from the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1995. Following graduation, he began his career practising as a General Dentist in Pittsburgh. In 1998, he completed a two-year post-graduate specialty program at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, where he received his Certificate in Endodontics. After specialising, Dr. Balytsky worked as an Endodontist in Pennsylvania and shared his expertise by teaching Endodontics at the Muhlenberg Hospital Post-graduate General Dental Residency Program in Bethlehem.
In 2004, Dr. Balytsky achieved Diplomate status with the American Board of Endodontics. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontics (AAE) as well as the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Endodontics.
For 22 years, Dr. Balytsky operated his endodontic practice in Petaluma, California. He also served as a faculty at the University of the Pacific Dental School. More recently, he and his wife moved to Virginia to be closer to their family.
Dr. Balytsky currently teaches endodontics at the University of Maryland Dental School. He is committed to giving back to the community and is a member of the Rotary Club of Petaluma. His dedication extends to donating his specialist services to charitable organisations including Hanna Boys Center, Chernobyl Children’s Project, Valley of the Moon Children’s Home, National Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped, and the California Homemakers Association. He regularly travels to Ukraine to provide dental treatment to Ukrainian defenders and wounded soldiers. In addition, he actively supports Dental Front, a volunteer organisation providing dental care for Ukrainian military personnel, and frequently takes part in fundraisers and volunteer activities to support his native Ukraine.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Balytsky enjoys playing soccer, hiking, kayaking, mountaineering, running, reading, and watching independent films. He holds a black belt in judo and plays accordion in a rock band.
