The tooth is often tender to biting or chewing for several days. This should subside within a few days and should respond well to over-the-counter medications such as ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) or acetaminophen (Tylenol). This tenderness is normal and does not affect the successful outcome of this procedure.
Should you experience discomfort that cannot be controlled with the discussed medications, or should swelling develop or have an allergic reaction to a medication, please contact this office immediately. We are available day and night.
